A Londoner by birth and upbringing, I moved to Australia in 2004. I studied archaeology and anthropology at Cambridge, had careers as a journalist [Financial Times], printer and publisher of limited edition, letterpress books [under the Beeches Press imprint], stone mason and social worker. But one continuous thread throughout is creative writing.
I write mainly literary fiction and short stories, with a focus on relationships. My work is mainly set in London, Italy or Sydney, though I do not emphasise sense of place. The tone is light and playful with movement orchestrated by sharp dialogue, so at times it is almost like watching a play unfold. I am currently working on two short novels, parts of which will be uploaded in due course.
